Sweet Doggie

Here is a layout (minus the journaling) about my in-laws' dog Moose. It's hard to see from the pictures, but he was a real cutie! He was half Chow, half Golden Retriever, and everybody just loved him, even though he could be a bit of a stinker. He loved to escape from the yard and visit everyone in the neighbourhood! He died of old age a while back,...

Silent Auction for Haiti

This is a double page spread that I was thinking of doing as a workshop, only it took a pretty long time, what with all the paper piecing and stamping. I love how it turned out, though, and I just had it sitting on my desk waiting for pictures. (Oh, yes, I totally lifted it from someone on the CTMH bulletin boards, too - sorry, can't remember your...

Felicity Layout

I really wanted to use up some of my new Felicity paper pack, and these photos seemed to work pretty well. I can't believe this was over 7 years ago! Yikes! Please note that in the top photo, I am totally posing and waiting for someone to click the camera! This makes 8 layouts done out of 120 for the year. Supplies (all CTMH): patterned paper and...

My Sleeping Beauty

Isn't she gorgeous? Well, I guess you can't really tell from the angle of these shots so much, teehee! She did this so many times, just crashing in the middle of the day wherever she happened to be. My favourite is the top one on the left page - she was looking at the ladies in the Sears catalogue, and fell asleep folded over on it.I started this...

Design Dollies Sketch Challenge

This was one of those random photos that don't really go with anything else, and usually I like to scrap a bunch of photos on one page, so when I saw the Design Dollies sketch for this week, I thought it might work for this. It was a really easy page to create, with minimal supplies, and now my kids will be able to laugh at their old mama attempting...

Colour Me Monday

I really loved the colour combination from Jeannette Lynton's blog this Monday (Cocoa, Crystal Blue, Garden Green, Hollyhock), so I knew I wanted to do something with it. I recently found these photos from seven and a half years ago, and the sky is a perfect match for Crystal Blue. Voila, another layout is born! Fancy going 4x4ing up a mountain when...

SPCC #29

Finally finished this page! Whoo! Been working on it for a few days now, but I think it was worth the effort. See that circle flower on the left hand side? That started out as an accent I was going to add on a card, but it just didn't work, so then I thought of turning it into a flower and putting that on a card. But why have one flower when you can...

2010 Layout Challenge #3

Here is a classic example of old pictures stored and not printed for a long, long time! My son is almost 7 and a half now, and these photos are from his 6th Birthday. Oh well, at least now they're ready for his album. The only problem is my white pen ran out of ink, so I will have to wait to put the journaling on until I get a new one. You just...

Sketchy Thursdays and Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge

I made this layout to kill three birds with one stone- ha, betcha never tried that before, eh? The Sketchy Thursdays Challenge sketch fit my photos if I rotated the sketch, and I like how it turned out. I've had these photos of my nana and auntie for a while, but I didn't have paper to suit, until I broke out this Grace Level 2 paper pack from Close...

First Layout of the New Year!

I've been working on this layout for a couple of days, but I officially finished it yesterday, so it counts as #1 in the 2010 Layout Challenge! Woohoo! Remember, I've joined a challenge group, and everyone has their own goal, but mine is to complete 120 layouts this year. I don't think I'll differentiate between double-page and single-page, to me...
