Card #22 - SSS133

I think I'm done with the cards for a while! I am totally not impressed with how this one turned out, but I had just won four digis from Tickled Pink in their blog hop a couple weeks ago, and I really wanted to colour some of my new images. This is one of the new Party Pinkettes, and I love her, but I made some booboos, like that atrocious shadow, and cutting off the top of her fork with my Spellbinders die. I decided to cover that last mistake by outlining the image in twine, but my Glossy Accents tip is ruined, and the glue just oozes out, made a pretty big mess. Ah, well, live and learn, right? I'm entering this over at The Sweet Stop, who had this cute sketch this week:
Thanks for looking!

Supplies: Bazzill and Neenah cardstock, Tickled Pink image, Memento ink, Close to My Heart stamp set (Say it in Style), Twinery twine, Creative Memories and Echo Park patterned paper, Copic markers

  1. You are brave to show us a card that you are not happy with Roxy! I, however, like it! Love the girl and love the colour scheme you chose! I have a recent layout that I'm not happy with, and am umming and ahhing about whether or not to blog about it, after all we do learn from our mistakes!

  4. I think you did a pretty good job on this card! I like how you fixed your boo-boo, and I have a fix for the glossy accents. Claudine Hellmouth matte glue is the BEST for sticking stuff down that you might not be able to keep the glue out of sight...it dries totally invisible, and doesn't give off a shine like glossy accents :) Might see you on Saturday!

  6. I agree with Deb - you are too hard on yourself! This is a totally cute card! Love that little image - actually made me hungry (must be time to start dinner!)
Stampin`Up! sells an glue eraser that does just what you think it might ... erases those globs of glue that spill out the side. I`ve found that my kids erasers work as well - those plasticky ones (not the pink or white school ones) that you get at souvenir shops. You may try that (test it out on scrap first!)
