This month it seems like the ladies from Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog are doing something a little different. Rather than copying a kit from a kit club, we've been tasked with copying one of the new lines from Basic Grey. Here's the one I chose:
I was really drawn to the bright colours (I think everyone knows how much I love my brights!) and the geometric feel of some of the papers. I also liked the idea of working some brown into my kit. So, here are the papers I pulled from my stash:
Going from left to right, back to front, I have:
2 from Echo Park - "Paper & Glue"
3 from Simple Stories- "Vintage Bliss"
4 from MME - "Collectable"
2 from CTMH - I forget the name of the collection but it was a monthly promo kit
2 + a sticker sheet from Echo Park - "Everyday Eclectic"
2 from Kaiser Craft - "Take Note"
And here is a real mish mash of things that seemed to go:
And that's it! Kind of a small kit this month, but then again I'm not anticipating much crafty time in June, so maybe best not to be too ambitious. I can always add more if need be!
Lovely kit :) I like how you pulled in the scraps too :)

ReplyDeleteThe bright colors along with the brown make a great combination. And you're right, you can always add more when you run low. Have fun with your kit!
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the look of the BG line! I really like how all of your papers seem to even be working together. I think your kit will make for easy pages because it looks so good together. I look forward to your projects!
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent counterfeit of that line. Well done!
ReplyDeleteLooks gooood! I've picked Vivienne too, I just need to get on and sort the kit out now...
ReplyDeletelove your kit and sometimes you'd be surprised how much you can do with a smaller kit!
ReplyDeleteVery good counterfeit! Love your collection!
ReplyDeleteGreat kit and a super take on the original with all your brights but still working in some of the other colours too. the mix of embellies looks like a lot of fun. hope you have enjoyed using it this month! (yes, I know I'm late commenting!)
