Layout #57 and Cards #17 & #18

I went to a crop yesterday put on by my (somewhat) local scrapbooking store, Creative Accents, and it was a big one!!! I was able to get a ton done, see all the Design Team members again (great gals, all of 'em!) and eat too much. On the way home in my husband's 23 year old truck with no radio, I was able to reflect on the last time I went to a full-day crop, and I remember it was in the middle of a Yukon winter, probably 4 years ago, and I pulled my crop bag to the church in a sled, haha! If that isn't evidence of a scrapbooking obsession, I don't know what is!
Here's one of the layouts I created, and I love how it turned out! I used a sketch from 4x6 Photo Sketch blog, and some foam thickers and twine from our crop goodie bag. The stripe paper and label are from a full pack of Studio Calico papers I chose as a door prize (score!)
And here's a close up of some details:
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Scenic Route and Studio Calico patterned paper, American Crafts Thickers, Twinery twine, Prima flowers, 7 Gypsies brads, Creative Memories pen
I was also able to participate in some Make 'n' Takes to make these super cool cards for Christmas - I kind of want to keep them for myself! Maybe if I keep them out for a while, just to look at, I'll be able to part with them eventually! This one was designed by the folks at Whipper Snapper stamps (I believe):
That shadow on the birdie's head is from a piece of mica stuck on the window, oops! Then there's this one using some new Basic Grey paper and die cuts from Tim Holtz - a very easy design that anyone could easily mass-produce:

And that's all (for now) folks! Puppy and baby are sleeping, boys are hunting, and Ailis is watching Cinderella, so I'm going to see if I can take part in a couple of blog hops. Oh, and while I'm here, I want to remind you to GET YOUR ORANGE PROJECTS IN AT CREATIVE ACCENTS CHALLENGES!!! YOU COULD WIN A FABULOUS PRIZE!!! Haha, was that enough of a hint?
