And here's the sketch I used (gotta say, I'm loving their sketches!):
I changed it up a bit to go with the pictures, but mostly I stuck with the sketch quite closely. I didn't add much embellishment here because I wanted the focus on the photos (isn't that an amazing face painting job?) and the beautiful Basic Grey paper. I did a little bit of outlining around the plain jane alpha stickers to mimic the colours of Ailis' face, but that's about it. Hope you like, and thanks for stopping by!
I love this and good job getting it in on time!! The pattern on the paper becomes your embellishment clusters which is so fabulous!! Ailis' face painting is really good. Was that a professional job? If you can paint faces like that you are officially hired for every birthday party my kids have from now on!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us this week at LGS!
Cute! I love how you used the already decorated paper for this sketch. Those papers are often the ones I have the hardest time using. Thanks for playing along with LGS!
ReplyDeleteI love what you did!!! I am always intimidated by the fancy edges on paper like that!! I'm never sure what to do with it, so it just sits in a bag looking pretty but not being used!!! Thanks for sharing, I'll have to try a layout like this.
ReplyDeleteCool layout! Love the title! Thanks for playing along with us this week at Let's Get Sketchy!

ReplyDeleteHa! Seems it's not just me then who has trouble with those pretty papers with the patterns at the corners and round the edges! You have done a lovely job with yours though, I might have to dig one out and have a go! Ailis looks amazing with her face painting :) Great sketch too!
