So I used the colors, or as close as I could get to them, from SPCC #17, and I do love how the colors go with these pictures, but that's about the only thing that I do like. Just about everything went wrong with it, too, from cutting the bottom pic too small, to running out of the red patterned paper for my journaling block, then cutting the red strips the wrong size, and writing under the bottom pic in white and deciding I didn't like it and going over it in green... AAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! Is this layout even salvageable? Anybody out there reading this, feel free to offer suggestions, because I am just so frustrated!
Supplies (all CTMH): patterned paper from Key to My Heart and Blue Ribbon Level 2 paper packets, Olive cardstock
Other: light blue cardstock, olive pen from Creative Memories, brads from Making Memories
I think you did a great job with the LO. If you are really unhappy, try some VersaMark swirls across the top and/or bottom.
ReplyDeleteyou know, it's funny because I often make mistakes, but end up liking my corrections to fix them better than what my original plan is :) I think it's great!
ReplyDeleteI think you did just fine with the layout. Maybe a strong title across the top with some chipboard or Thickers??

You shouldn't be frustrated!! Your layout rocks!! and the colors were used beautifully!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you joined us at SPCC!!
Perhaps some sort of embelishment like cutting out trees from green & brown paper and making a little "forest" on the bottome and a big title on the top? Great job BTW. Do you work for the VSB? I do too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous layout! Love it
